The basis on which Carolina's Sacred Awakenings offers its services.
Who these terms cover
These terms apply to everyone who books a session, joins a class or programme, or buys from Carolina's Sacred Awakenings. Where a booking or payment is completed on a booking platform or store, that platform's terms apply to the transaction alongside these.
The nature of the work
Carolina's Sacred Awakenings offers wellness services. They are complementary and educational. They are not medical care, and nothing offered here diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any physical or mental health condition. Nothing replaces advice from a doctor, therapist or other licensed professional, and no one should stop or change prescribed treatment on the basis of a session. Anyone with an urgent medical or mental health concern should contact a physician or emergency services.
Results
People respond differently, and no particular result, benefit or timeline is promised. Any experience described by a past client is that person's own and is not a prediction of anyone else's.
Who can book
Services are offered to adults aged 18 and over. Where a service is open to a younger participant, that is stated on the service itself and a parent or guardian must give consent.
What is expected of you
Please share anything relevant to your safety before a session — including pregnancy, injury, recent surgery, medication, and any medical or psychiatric history — and keep it up to date if it changes. Work within your own limits during a session, and stop if anything is painful or uncomfortable. You remain responsible for your own choices and wellbeing.
Trainings and certification
Attendance requirements, assessment and any accreditation are set out on the page for each programme. A certificate confirms that you completed that programme. It is not a licence to practise, it creates no employment or agency relationship, and it does not carry the right to teach the programme's material or to use Carolina's Sacred Awakenings's name or marks without separate written permission.
Retreats and events
Each retreat is offered on the dates, inclusions and payment terms published with it. Travel to and from the venue, insurance, visas and anything not listed as included remain the participant's responsibility, and venues and local providers operate under their own terms.
Materials and copyright
Course materials, recordings, sequences, written content, photography and brand marks belong to Carolina's Sacred Awakenings or its licensors. You are welcome to use what you buy for your own practice. Copying it, reselling it, sharing account access, or reproducing it publicly or in your own teaching is not permitted without written consent.
Respect in shared spaces
Sessions, classes, group calls and online spaces are kept safe and respectful for everyone in them. A booking may be declined or ended, and access to a shared space removed, where conduct is abusive, unsafe or disruptive to others.
Recording
Please do not record, photograph or stream a session, class or group call without the permission of the practitioner and everyone present.
Links to other services
Booking systems, stores, social platforms and media linked from these pages are run by other companies. Their pricing, availability and terms are theirs and can change.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise, liability in connection with a service is limited to the amount paid for that service.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The version published at the moment you book is the version that governs that booking.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the place where the business is established, Pasadena, California, and disputes are dealt with by the courts there.
